Women’s footwear company Bogo is introducing its new womens shoe line in a move that’s raising eyebrows from women’s shoe companies.
The company says it’s bringing back its iconic women shoe, the Bogo Breeze.
The Breeze has been a staple of the womens footwear scene since its debut in 1982, and Bogo says it wants to bring it back.
“We’ve been using the Breeze for more than a decade.
And it has a great history of selling well,” said Julie Cappelli, chief marketing officer at Bogo.
“We’ve also seen the value of the original Breeze being copied and sold around the world.”
Bogo, which launched in 1980 in Paris, is now owned by the Italian shoe giant Dolce & Gabbana.
The brand has sold millions of pairs of Bogo shoes and is known for its stylishly designed shoes.
Bogo Breezies are made in Italy, with a sole made of the same material as the Bamboo Foot.
Bogo said that this was the only sole that the Breezie could be made in, and it would be made by a small factory in Italy.
BOGO also said the new BOGOs will be made from a single, sustainable leather that was grown on a farm in India.
“The Bogo family is proud to bring back BOGOS and BOGEO to the global marketplace.
We are so pleased that women have been able to embrace the BOGo brand, a shoe that has stood the test of time,” said Lidia Bognarotti, chief executive officer of BOGE, a unit of Dolce Gabbakian.
